I usually set up my V1 this way. I typically drive alone so having it mounted under the passenger head rest isn't a problem for me. The funny thing is even with someone in the seat the detector seems to work just fine. The arrows may be a little off but the distance does not seem to be reduced.

For the remote display, I used double sided tape an mounted it just in front of the parking lamp switch. I'm not crazy about the location but it will work for now. When I get my turbo gauge I may have to move it.

Next I removed the headrest and undid one side of the back seat material so I could get to the zipper and unzipped it (inside one toward the center of the car) I then fished a coat hanger up under the material to the hole just outside of the plastic where the headrest goes in. I taped the wire to the bottom of the wire and pulled it though. It's nice because you can't see the wire at all now. Previous installs I just tucked it in to the pocket behind the seat.

It's a lot harder to see than the pictures indicate. The flash brings out the unit a lot. The lights are only on with the remote so no one can really see it but me.
