"Maniac" has designed a very nice dead pedal match to the WRX OEM foot pedals. The quality is very good and the match is spot on. Everything you need to install the pedal is included. These are designed for the WRX obviously but can be used on the RS if, like me, you've installed the WRX pedals. The difference is the WRX has two small push fasteners that hold their dead pedal in place; unlike the RS which has a small piece of plastic heat sealed to the carpet. For the RS the back of the pedal has a generous amount of double sided tape to keep it in place. He even included an alcohol wipe to prep the mounting surface. The directions say that if you want a better attachment it may be necessary to use an epoxy or other method like a glue gun.

The install was a snap. I decided to use some quick bond epoxy to be sure the pedal would stay in place. I just cleaned the plastic foot pad that is attached to the carpet w/ the included alcohol wipe and mixed up the epoxy. I put a fair amount on the back of the pedal after removing the paper strip. I slapped it in place and was done.

This is the back of the pedal, plenty of double sided tape, I decided to use epoxy to be sure it won't come off. Of course WRX owners won't have any need for that because there are mounting pins that will hold it on:

The best thing about the dead pedal is it looks stock.
