Removing the inter-cooler is pretty simple.

What you will need:

12mm socket - To remove the two IC mounting bolts

Flat Blade Screwdriver - Remove two hose clamps.

Pliers - To slide the squeeze clamp down the hose on the blow off valve

The pics pretty much show you what you need to do. Undo the 3 hoses for the PCV system, remove the one air line (boost line) from the Blow Off Valve (BOV), slide the squeeze clamp down the recirculate hose on the BOV and pull off the hose off, undo the two hose clamps, one on the throttle body (TB) and the other from the hose leading to the turbo. Grab the sides of the IC being careful not to touch the fins (they bend very easily) and work the throttle body hose loose then the turbo hose (smaller hose clamped one).

Getting it back together is tricky but doable, sort of reverse order. come in at an angle and get the turbo line lined up then get the throttle body one on. When it comes time to tighten the bolts back down, they only need 11 ft/Lbs of torque.

For anyone looking at this that has a WRX Don't remove any hoses off of the BOV. Just remove the two bolts that hold the BOV in place it's easier than trying to remove the BOV recirculate line/squeeze clamp.
