Here is the run down... Want to shave off 20 pounds from the front end? Easy. Just replace the stock battery with the Lighweight DynaBat...

The Dyna-Batt is completely dry cell and can withstand the rigors of high performance and racing enviornments. It is built with corrosion resistant terminals and is truly maintenance free. The Dyna Batt has an excellent storage life and recharges very quickly. Works great with one of our alternators!

It is 3.25" wide by 7.25" long by 7" tall. It weights in @ 13.5 lbs and has 550 CCA, IIRC. It runs about $132 from Performance Distributors (http://www.performancedistributors.com/batteries.htm)

A local place sells these things, it really weird to think that something so small actually does the same exact thing as a regular battery!

UPDATE--- 3/13/03

You can use a Hawker 12 Volt/16 Ah (G16EP). It's the same exact battery as the Dynbat, but about 1/2 the cost.

Can be obtained from

Portable Power Systems (http://www.portablepower.com/Productpage.asp?ProductNum=37L105S1&AddOn01=30Z101B1&AddOn02=35S202S1&AddOn03=35S206S1&AddOn04=35S206S1P&AddOn05=) for around $70
