I order one of these from Summit Racing (http://www.summitracing.com). the Autometer part number is 20590. They were on back order but it only took 2 weeks to get to me. It is designed for the GC8 Impreza, but the texture and color are both a hair off. Oh well.
To install it just hold it up where you want it to be installed and mark the stock pillar with the location. Be sure to look in from the outside or you may end up with a gap that you can see in from the outside. Then remove the pillar my pulling on it. It sounds scary but it came out pretty easy. Then put the Autometer pod back on the now removed a-pillar. Line it up with your marks you made and make some careful drilling. Make sure the bit is smaller than the supplied plugs that hold the pod on. After each hole is drilled put the plug in to help hold it in place. Once the four holes have been drilled, you need to decide how many and what size holes you need to drill in the back of the a-pillar for the needed wiring for the gauges.
Here is the finished product.
