I have a set of these on my Forester for the Fogs and the headlamps, install here:

There was a good sale on these from Chad and I liked them so much on my Forester I had to get a set for the Outback. The install is very simple on the Fog Lamps. Since the OB lights are round it's even easier than it was on my Forester. There is a small logo on the material I just made sure that was at the very bottom. I don't think it matters though. Just follow the pictures and you should be able to get the idea.
A few watch outs and hints:

- To remove the small grill that is on the lamp twist it clock-wise and it will come off. It only needs to twist a half inch or so.

- Clean the lens super clean of all dirt and bugs, double check that it's clean.

- Do not touch the glue part after you remove the backing paper. If you do it will leave a fingerprint.

- The instructions say to not use any bulbs over 60W if you put this on, stock bulbs are 55W.

- Work your way from the center out in all directions to prevent air bubbles

I got my Stongard light protectors from Chad at:

Screen name Rockblocker on the NASIOC site in the vendor section. He's a good vendor shipping stuff out quickly and answering his PM's fast too.

The first pic here is of my friends Outbacks lens that got hit by a rock. You can't just purchase a replacement lens, you have to get the whole unit. I forget the cost but it was close to 100 USD or better. That makes the price of the covers seem pretty inexpensive. I had a set of the clip on removable hard covers on my RS. They worked well but during snow storms, because the plastic did not touch the glass, snow would just pack on the cover. Pretty soon the light was blocked. With these type the heat transfers through and melts the snow the same as when there is no cover on.
