This will detail how to install an ipod dock in your cupholder. I never used my cupholder so i thought it was a perfect place for it.

Disclaimer: dont do this...it will mess up your car....dont complain to me when it does.


Here is what the finished product will look like

First remove the cup holder.....pop it out and unscrew these two screws. Then pull the cupholder out... half way it will get stuck, just push on the bottom of the cupholder and keep pulling.

Then seperate the components of the cupholder....pull it out all the way and depress the tabs that will be where the red circles are.

Next dremel out the back of the holder peice...

cut along the lines

now puick up the other peice and turn it over... remove the two hinged peice that woudl be where the circles are

Dremel out the holder so it will fit your dock

Then use some doulbe sided tape, and or a hot glue gun to secure the dock in place.

Put it back in and your done...

You can use the line out on the dock to connect it to either an.....fm transmiter, tape cassete adapter, or the aux input on the back of the head unit...I am trying to use the aux input but have yet to figure out how.
