Another really cool, super easy and useful mod. This one comes curtousy of the Jacksonville Mod Squad.
It's a custom made Intercooler screen that works with the stock intercooler. Nice construction and quality. No air flow issue's that I can disern as well.
These items are no longer made by the manufacturer.
First, some pics. Here is a pic of it on my kitchen island. Notice the pen (for actual size).

additional note. You can install it (OK, you are supposed to install it) over the rubber mulding on the hood. See picture.

one of the first mods I did was add one of these screens to keep my fins from getting bent, 20k miles later and still looks great.
the one problem I did have is when I open my hood the screen would not keep itself attached to the rubber and would fall off onto my intercooler, or rattle around on top of my engine. this is very embarassing if you are trying to show someone your underhood bling.
what I did to keep it from moving from the rubber seal was to sneak into my girlfriend's room (while she was gone) and pilfer about 5 bobby pins (regular size, not the big ones) and put one at each corner through the carbon fiber mesh and around the rubber seal. no drilling or cutting required (well you may need to trim the bobby pins some) and it takes all of 5 minutes.
I have had it on there for over 15k miles now and after looking I am pleased with the results, however I have noticed that the bobby pins are starting to rust. I am looking into other options and will update if I find a different solution.
just don't tell your friends you are using your girlfriend's hair attachments on your car. and don't try the butterfly looking things, they don't work as well (not to mention it is too hard to accessorize!)
