Lift Kit?
Anyone have any experiance in raising their Subaru? I know most people like to try to turn their cars into street racers but honestly, that doesn't interest me at all. I'd actually like more clearance because for one, on hard turns I scrap my wheels against the wheel wells, and two, more importantly, when I throw it around off road I'd feel more secure with a few more inches.
Yesterday I was coming off road and had to tackle a curb...I slowed down a good bit but still broke the nozzle off my muffler when the rear wheels came down and slammed it onto the curb, so needless to say I had to take out all of that fabric inside of it once the exhaust started plowing it out a mile down the road. (sounds great! : D) Anyways, yeah, my car is too low, perhaps even already lowered by a previous owner, and I was wondering what the most afforable and best way to do that, and if anyone has any reasons why it might not be smart. Also....A skid plate on the underbody would be nice... : ) |

you might want to look some info on some of the local rally people, they would be ablt to tell you about suspension/body lift kits and those types of things.

I'd still like to maintain a somewhat sporty suspension though, and I like how stiff the ride is, I was just wondering if you got longer struts and coils if that would boost you up an inch or too and work well.
I think it's gonna be awhile before I can afford it anyways, because as far as suspension goes, I need a new rack and pinnion on my front end first....too much play and shake in the wheel. |
