While you no longer have to be a paying member to view the website, you do need to be registered to view any of the posts in the Modifications Forums. We do recommend membership as it keeps the site up, but it's no longer required.

I am already registered, how do I sign up?
If you already are a member, goto Paid Subscriptions and select one of the Memberships. You have choices of 1 year Premium Membership, Basic Membership (90 days) and Trial Membership (2 weeks). Go through the process of paying for them and you'll automagically get moved to the Contributor group.

What if I just want to donate rather then sign up for a subscription?
We welcome our users to donate to us to help with the costs of keeping a free to use site open and running smoothly. Sometimes people would rather just donate instead of getting a membership. We are cool with that and now provide a way to Donate to Scoobymods.com. And now you can donate however much you want rather then a specified amount (old way).

I am not registered, how do I sign up?
Signup using the Registration System. Once you have completed that, follow the instructions above (I am already registered...) to chose a membership level that you want.

What are differences between membership levels?
Trial Membership costs $2.95 and gives you access for 2 weeks (14 days).
Basic Membership costs $4.95 and gives you access for 3 months (90 days).
Premium Membership costs $12.00 and gives you access for 1 year (365 days). By far the best value.

Why should I pay to support the site?
The posts on Scoobymods.com save people money and time. Lots of both. They are typically very detailed instructions on how to install something. The site costs money to build, maintain, and administer. The main owner, kastle, has been paying for all the costs out of his own pocket for 3 years, and now needs help keeping the site alive.

Why don't you try XYZ?
We tried shirts, donations, advertisers. You can only get so much of all of those. We felt it was necessary to do this, at this time.

Where does the money go?
The money that we get via Tshirt sales, donations, advertisers, and now subscriptions has long gone to pay for the services that we render. Bandwidth, servers, software... it all costs money. We have built a very nice infrastructure here and are intent on continuing with this model.

What happens after you contribute?
You will get a 3 month Basic Membership (a $4.95 value) for contributing a mod to the site. The more mods you contribute to the site, the more membership level you can obtain, upto 1 year of membership (a $12.00 value).

What if I already contributed?
We are going back through the last years worth of contributions in the Contributions forum and giving those people 1 year of membership (a $12.00 value) for their effort to make this site the way it is.

What if I donated before, and haven't gotten access?
If you previously donated, you will automagically get 1 year of membership, and all the benefits that comes with it. If for some reason your account doesn't reflect that, PM me and let me know. We will get it sorted out.
