I bought and installed the triple gauge pod from WRXtra. I'm not sure if this qualifies as a mod since it's a 3rd party product. Here goes anyway. I'm not including pictures of the actual mod since they can be obtained from their site. Pictures and full instructions, which is nice, that way you know what you're in for before you spend hundereds of $$ without knowing what you're getting into. I looked at many sites trying to find out if anyone had installed this gauge pack but seemingly no one had. It was the perfect alternative for me since I already had the optional factory boost gauge installed on the steering column. I didn't want to rewire it, and I figured the more gauges the merrier. The factory gauge pod comes with boost as the far left gauge. If you wanted to change that you would have to do it yourself. WRXtra offers the gauges in any configuration you want and a choice of 2 different faceplates. The gauges themselves are Autometer.

This comes as a "kit." All the wires are contained in a conduit harness. The oil pressure and temperature senders were a snap to install. They fit in a "sandwich adapter" which screws on where the oil filter sits. The filter then sits on the adapter. This was a major attraction for me. Spending hours ripping engine components apart trying to get to little blank plugs in the block isn't my idea of fun. Basically, the harness runs from the senders on the sandwich adapter, to the battery, through the firewall and up into the dash where the clock used to sit. All parts and the kit in general were of high quality and I'm thoroughly satisified with what I paid my money for.
